Ambiance- truly incredible and breath taking decoration! Super cute, love the pink and green wall color and flowers!! felt like a beautiful, classy ballroom. Service- best service I've seen. The staff gives you full attention in a very genuinely positive and welcoming manner. Truly unmatched Food- very delicious! My favorite was the curry puff pastry and devil curry chicken. The jasmine tea was also phenomenal! Very cool dessert options too, the shaved ice was great!

If I am ever on death row, this will be my last meal. My order: hibiscus iced tea, striped sea bass (raw), and branzino. Side of roti. Total was Pennie's under $75 with tip etc. Tea: I liked that they added lime. A nice twist. Striped sea bass: SO good. Reminded me of Tom Kha soup. Strong lime and coconut notes. A complex sauce. Sweet, tangy, sour, herbal. Branzino: cooked perfectly. I didn't have any bones, though I was warned *twice* that the collar area may have small bones. I didn't have any at all. The curry sauce was divine- concentrated flavours. So tasty I didnt want dessert- so I could let the curry sauce linger on my tongue. I paired it with a roti- recommended to sop up the sauce. In all ive never come so close to licking my plate. Service was 10/10. Greeted at the host, and they even asked me a question alluding to my Resy profile. Host and the waitress confirmed dietary restrictions, which was greatly appreciated. Staff were always filling my water, and it never got below half full. My waitress recommended the striped bass and I was very happy she did. The ambiance is like a house feel, and it's absolutely aesthetic, and would make very cute instagram posts. Everywhere is pink and flowers and Tiffany lamps (see pics) it's like they brought the garden inside All in all, I will 100% come back!

This place is amazing. Cobi Marsh, who did a very popular pop up, opened Cobi's in this cute space in Santa Monica. Here you will get the best menu of Southeast Asian street fare and Marsh's signature curries set against a vibrant interior with lively music most nights. It is just stunning inside. They have the best of the best from from Indonesia and Vietnam to Thailand. It is all perfect. They also have Asian lagers. The interior is amazing with jewel-toned upholstery, abstract greener, floral wallpaper and lovely low lighting. There is indoor and outdoor dinning. Parking is on the street, mind the signs. It get very crowded. Make a reservation a few days a head of time if you can. Look to their website for the best way to do that. This is fine dinning at its best. It is expensive and well worth it. The service is great. You will be well taken care of. I promise. The food is all good. Our favorites are the Butter Chicken, which is a must try, their pork dumplings and their curry puffs. Anything with curry is great. This is a must stop in Santa Monica, just a must.

Wow just wow !!! Great service, super cute space, and food was delicious. Best of all super affordable!!! It's very rare for a restaurant to check off all my boxes but this one did! Lots of street parking nearby, recommend making a reservation as it gets full quickly. My favorite dishes were the short rib and butter beef. If could I would have ordered everything off the menu!

Super cute restaurant - love all the florals and the little trinkets everywhere. Great for date night or night out with friends. Our sever was also super friendly and pretty funny. Food: Grilled prawns [5/5]: these were to die for -- a little spicy, super fresh prawns especially if you like eating the head :) Scallops [4.5/5]: loved these -- super fresh and the tanginess. Maybe a little too much fish sauce (bf said it smelled fishy but tasted 10000% fantastic) haha Fried rice [5/5]: this smelled so good and tasted amazing -- i think a little on the salty side but pretty classic fried rice Devil Chicken curry [5/5]: definitely pretty spicy but tasty. Chicken was moist and juicy although i wish the thigh was deboned lol. Thai tea pudding [3/5]: ok soooo this is basically just solidified boba lol. It was fine but as a dessert person, this one fell below expectations (would have much rather just gotten a classic boba drink instead). It's super sweet, and the boba was almost too chewy.

Amazing find in Santa Monica! The food seems like a fusion of a bunch of different South Asian/Southeast Asian cuisines. I thought the beef rendang was a little too salty and could have used more spice, compared to the authentic version but was still pretty good. Roti was crispy and flaky. I also loved the flavorfulness of the curry puffs, which tasted almost like samosas in a more puffy/flaky skin. The star dish of the dinner was definitely the short rib! The meat was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and so flaky and tender on the inside. Would return just for this dish alone, highly recommend ordering this dish. Our server was so friendly and the decor and ambiance of the restaurant was very fun and cute! Wasn't too difficult to find street parking nearby, I'd definitely recommend making a reservation beforehand since it was pretty busy even on a Wednesday night.

We recently celebrated a special occasion at Cobi's and it couldn't have been better. Our table was in the beautiful front garden area, the food was impeccable (we ordered a second round because it was so good!), and service was incomparable. Our party of 5 unanimously agreed that this is the best restaurant in SM - one was already making plans to return with his parents. An extra special thank you to our waitstaff for being so careful with allergies.

Butter chicken is sooo good!! Very mild but still super flavorful!! Would 10/10 recommend!

Definitely a must-try in Santa Monica! Cobi's is a beautifully designed restaurant located just a block away from the ocean. The menu is Indonesian inspired with signature dishes like Nasi Goreng and Roti Wraps. Since it was our first time, our waitress explained the menu thoroughly and suggested ordering family style, so we could all try multiple dishes. She also let us know the dishes come as prepared, rather than holding everything to deliver at once. We started with the Vietnamese Cabbage Salad which was fresh and tangy. It was large enough for all 6 of us to get a small serving. Next we tried the Nasi Goreng - a fried rice dish with egg and long beans. Hands down the best fried rice I have had in a long time! I kept finding myself wanting more and more of it, even though their were other dishes to try. Both Roti Wraps were incredibly flavorful. I preferred the vegetarian Mister Dal to the Beef Rendang wrap, but would recommend both to try! The wrap on the beef was pretty charred, and I found myself tearing it off so I could enjoy all the flavors inside. Our table also enjoyed the Kaya French Toast. It was crispy on the outside, while still being soft on the inside. Overall, not too sweet! The Scotch Egg was the biggest disappointment of the meal; we ordered 2 for the table and finished neither. At $16 I had expected more, especially since the menu listed it with an "herb salad" and "yellow curry". If you look at the photo, I think considering a sprig of cilantro as a salad is a stretch. Also the sausage was extremely dry. Overall a great meal, and want to return to try their dinner menu! Since they serve brunch, it would be nice if they had the capability to make lattes (espresso, chai, and/or matcha). The only coffee options were regular or cold brew.

I made a reservation to Coby's for Resy's 10 year anniversary. It had been a few years since I've dined at Coby's and was happy that the food was just as good as I remembered. Located in Santa Monica, there's meter parking and residential parking, but make sure to read the signs closely since some are permitted or only during certain hours. As I walked up to Coby's, I was greeted by a friendly host. There is indoor and outdoor seating. if it's a nice, cool day, I'd recommend sitting outside since the noise level can get pretty loud inside when it's packed (and it usually is since the foods delish), but the inside decor is very nice too. As soon as you walk inside, you can smell all the amazing aroma wafting through the room. All the food we ordered was tasty and flavorful.
